Full Studio Lighting Diagram Tutorial

Tutorial 1

 

This is a typical set up we use for a good portrait.

 

There is a main fill light which is bounced on an umbrella to produce soft enough light. The kicker is used to produce a good highlight on the face and give some punch to the face

 

Background lighting is used to light up the background. A hairlight is placed high above the model head to give a highlight on the hair. While a reflector is used to fill any shaows produced by the kicker and main fill light

The result can be seen in this photograph.
